Common Signs Of Dyslexia


-Preschool-

-Delayed speech

-Mixed up sounds and syllables

-Chronic ear infections

-Confusion of left and right

-Trouble memorizing their address, phone number or the alphabet

-Late establishing a dominant hand

-Difficulty learning to tie shoes

-Difficulty with creating words that rhyme

 

-Elementary School-

-Failure to understand that words are made up of parts of individual sounds

-Difficulty learning the letter names and their corresponding sounds

-Difficulty sounding out unknown words

-Difficulty with reading and spelling common sight words
